Coalcatcher

Burner

New version 2, with higher power output and a tray.

It now has more power to get your coals ready faster, and comes with a tray to place over the coil, so the coil and coal do not touch directly.

Get your natural coal going easily using a coil hot plate. Flip the coals to light them evenly. Small, portable and easy to clean.

Please note that the hot plate works best in 10-minute cycles: do not heat the coil for longer than 10 minutes at a time, and let it cool between uses. This will increase the life of the coil. Overuse and not following this guidance will eventually lead to the coil cracking and failing. Once the coal is lit, it reflects heat back towards the coil, and it is best to keep this to a minimum.

Supplied with a standard 3-pin plug.

Note: This is an electric coil hot plate. Its intended use is for cooking, not lighting coal. Using this or any electric hot plate for lighting coal will eventually destroy the hot plate, so we will not warrant this product if it is used for lighting coal.
