The bowl contains a thick piece bridge across the spire, this prevents any foil drag from ever affecting your sessions.
Foil drag occurs primarily with phunnel bowl or any bowl that contains a single air channel. If you don't have enough holes punched through your tin foil, each pull you take brings the foil closer to that air channel and eventually blocks the airflow.
