Carrying your hookah safely

A shisha has glass, metal and a hose that all need to arrive in one piece. A bag or case keeps the parts together and stops them knocking against each other on the way to a friend's place or on holiday.

Fitted case or soft bag?

• Fitted cases are shaped around one brand's pipes. For example, the Aeon Transport Case holds all the parts of Aeon Edition 1, 2, 3 and 4 (Lounge, Basic, Premium and Premium Plus where listed), plus the Avos 2S, Avos 4S and VYRO Evoke.
• Soft travel bags are lighter and easier to squeeze into a car boot or suitcase. The Wookah Travel Bags, for instance, come in Mini, standard and Big sizes, made from Cordura, a strong fabric that resists water, damp and mould. Each has one large pouch for the hookah.

How to pick the right one

• Read which models a bag or case is made for, and match that to your pipe first.
• Think about the extras you take with you, such as a spare hose, bowl or tongs, and allow room for them.
• A brand's own bag usually follows the shape of its pipes, so parts sit snugly and move less.

Before you pack

• Empty the water and let the base dry, so nothing leaks or smells inside the bag.
• Knock out the bowl and let it cool fully before it goes in.

Will the Aeon case fit my older Aeon?

The Aeon Transport Case is made to carry Edition 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as the Avos 2S, Avos 4S and VYRO Evoke, so most Aeon models are covered.

How do I clean a Cordura bag?

Wipe it with a damp cloth. Cordura lets dirt come off easily.
