Choosing a mouth tip
A mouth tip is the part your lips touch. They come in two kinds. Personal tips slide onto a shared hose, so you always smoke from your own. Replacement tips are made to fit the end of one brand's hose. Decide which kind you need first, then pick a style.
Personal tips
- Stainless steel tips, such as the Steamulation Hygiene Mouthtip: made in Germany from V2A stainless steel, and it fits almost every hookah mouthpiece. The Gold version comes with a stainless steel necklace and a satin bag.
- Jewellery-style tips, for example Japona Samurai Beads: acrylic and bronze with silicone tubing that fits most hoses. Each comes in a decorative wooden box and they are made in several colours.
- Pocket tips, like the Conceptic Design Capsule: a steel tip with a silicone tube inside carbon. Instead of a cord or chain, it goes in its own capsule and into your pocket.
- Gold-flecked tips, such as Moze Gold Line: gold particles are set into the tip, so no two look quite the same.
Hose replacement tips
These swap onto a particular hose rather than any hose. Kaloud Aeolis hose tips, for example, come in packs of 4 in stainless steel and fit any Kaloud Aeolis hose. The Lulava Extension Mouthtip is the extension section of a Lulava hose in anodised billet aluminium, sold on its own. Check the make of your hose before you choose one.
Looking after it

Questions
Will a personal tip fit my hose?
Most are made to fit common hoses. The Steamulation tip fits almost every hookah mouthpiece, and Japona tips use silicone tubing that fits most hoses.
Do Kaloud Aeolis tips fit other hoses?
They are made for Kaloud Aeolis hoses. For a different hose, a personal tip is the easier choice.
Why does my Moze tip look different from the photo?
Gold Line tips are made with gold particles in them, so each one comes out a little different.
