Tropical Shisha Flavours

Choosing a tropical blend

Tropical flavours run from dry and fruity to creamy, icy or spiced. Start with the fruit you like, then decide how sweet or cool you want it.

Start with the fruit

  • Pineapple: from dry to sweet and cool. Starbuzz Pineapple (Pineana), for example, is less sweet than you might expect, while blends such as Pineapple Freeze or OverDozz Psych Out add mint or menthol.
  • Mango: often paired with another fruit, as in OverDozz One Night Stand with passion fruit or Banango with banana and icy notes.
  • Passion fruit: sweet and exotic on its own, as in Starbuzz Passion Fruit (Passionova), or mixed with pineapple, as in Tangiers Noir Pinepas.
  • Coconut: creamy or zesty, for example OverDozz Judgment Day with peach, or Starbuzz Coco Jumbo with lime.
  • Lychee: juicy and sweet, sometimes with mint, as in OverDozz Kooliche, or with blueberry, as in Tangiers Noir 05 Lychee.

Something less expected

Some tropical blends go further. OverDozz Crazy Ex, for instance, puts warm Arabian spices with mango, and Green Mist (Tropical Gum) blends bubble gum with tropical fruit. Tangiers Noir Sunrise mixes cucumber, mango and kiwi, and Mango Fling adds a subtle rose note.

Pack sizes and mixing

Many flavours come in more than one pack size, so a small pack lets you try one before buying more. Tropical fruit mixes well: OverDozz suggests pairing Banango with Kesowawa. For a sharper edge, add one of the citrus flavours, or cool things down with mint and ice.

Questions

Which tropical flavours have a cool finish?

Look for ice or mint in the description. Banango, Love Bug, Psych Out and Savacco Swish are examples with a cool edge.

Is Starbuzz Pineapple very sweet?

No. Pineana is a dry pineapple, full of flavour but not as sweet as you might expect.

What is in Starbuzz Vintage Plus Dark Caribbean?

Citrus, coconut and pineapple, from the Vintage Plus range.
