Getting to know Savacco bowls
Savacco makes bowls in a few distinct lines. They differ in material, finish and how they handle heat, so pick the line first and the colour second.
The main lines
- SV Phunnel: a phunnel bowl with a universal fit for most hookahs, durable and heat-resistant. It comes in many colours, for example Tiffany, Carbon Black or Brooklyn Grey.
- SV-25: a heat-resistant bowl made to cope with high temperatures without cracking. It is made in colours such as Gunmetal or Black Blue, and also as a random colour option.
- 14ct Shisha Bowl: finished with 14ct gold plating, with a roomy interior and a fit for standard shisha pipes. Versions such as Brown Gold and White Gold are phunnel-style.
- Large clay phunnel: the Savacco Black Phunnel Bowl is made with white clay and has a lip for HMDs. It takes 20 to 25 grams of flavour.
Why a phunnel?
A phunnel has a raised centre spout instead of holes in the floor. The juices from your tobacco stay in the bowl rather than running down the stem, which suits juicy shisha.
Packing it
- Fill around the spout and keep the tobacco just below the rim.
- Leave the centre hole clear so air can pass.
- Lay foil or a heat management device over the tobacco.
If the bowl sits loose on your stem, a fresh grommet helps it seal. Savacco's own blends are under Savacco flavours.

Will a Savacco bowl fit my hookah?
The SV Phunnel has a universal fit for most hookahs, and the 14ct bowls fit standard shisha pipes. If a bowl feels loose, change the grommet.
Which Savacco bowl suits a heat management device?
The large Black Phunnel Bowl in white clay has a lip made for HMDs. Foil or a device also works on the other phunnel bowls.
