Satoshi, Satori or Sensei?

Japona names its hookahs after the path from student to teacher, and the models grow in size along the way. They come in Gold Edition finishes, for example Black Gold.

How the models differ

• Satoshi: the compact model. The name stands for a student setting out to understand the truth, and it is made so you can upgrade it later.
• Satori: the medium model that gave the line its name. It pairs the compactness of the junior model with the traditional look of the tall one, in AISI 304 stainless steel with treated wood sleeves and a 360° horizontal purge.
• Sensei: the tallest and oldest Japona, and the one the maker spent longest developing, also with a 360° horizontal purge under the base.

Which suits you?

If space is tight or you want to grow into the line, the Satoshi is the natural start. The Satori sits in the middle for an everyday all-rounder, and the Sensei suits you if you want the full height and look of the tall model.

Growing your Japona

A Satoshi can become a Sensei later with the Japona Wood Upper Stem, found under stems and downstems. Add a bowl from Japona bowls. If you visit shisha lounges, a Japona personal mouth tip, such as Samurai Beads in acrylic and bronze jewellery, means you always smoke from your own tip. It has silicone tubing that fits most hoses and comes in a wooden box.
