Egermann crystal bases

Egermann bases are made from Bohemian crystal glass in Czechia. The crystal is refined to a clear, bright finish that sets off the look of your hookah, and each shape comes in a choice of colours.

Shapes and heights

• Jataka: a 30cm base, found in colours such as Clear, Granat, Amethyst and Aquamarine.
• Yunan Platinum: also 30cm, with finishes like Shadow Black and Amethyst.
• Nuwas and Jumbo: 26cm bases, for example in Ruby Red.

Choose the height that suits your stem. A 30cm base sits well under a tall pipe, while a 26cm base keeps the whole setup more compact. After that, the choice comes down to shape and colour, so compare the photos side by side.

Fit and care

• Check your stem fits the neck before you order, and use a grommet that seals both.
• Fill the base so the downstem sits a little under the water line.
• Wash crystal by hand in lukewarm water, and avoid sudden changes of temperature.

Questions

What is the difference between the Egermann shapes?

Mainly height and outline. The Jataka and Yunan Platinum stand 30cm, while the Nuwas and Jumbo are 26cm.

Can I put a crystal base in the dishwasher?

Hand washing in lukewarm water is the gentler choice for crystal.
