About Ros Kalyan bases

Ros Kalyan makes heavy-duty glass bases in Russia. The thick glass gives them real weight, so your shisha stands steady on the table.

Cosmo or Craft?

• Cosmo Base: a decanter-style base, similar in shape to the Hookah John Decanter bases. It comes in finishes such as Clear, Black, Rainbow, Orange Soda and White Blue, so you can match it to your stem.
• Craft Base: a heavy glass base with textured finishes, for example Black Crumbs. It is made to fit most Russian-style hookahs.

Will it fit?

Ros Kalyan bases connect with a grommet rather than a thread, so they fit any hookah that takes the correct grommet. Check your stem and pick up the right size from grommets and seals if you need one. For other styles, see all shisha bases.

Setting it up

Push the stem in firmly so the grommet seals evenly all round, then add water until the downstem sits a little below the surface. A rinse with warm water after each session keeps the glass clear, and a soft brush reaches the bottom of a tall decanter shape.

Do Ros Kalyan bases screw on?

No. They connect with a grommet, which seals the stem in the neck.

Will a Ros Kalyan base fit my hookah?

Yes, as long as your hookah uses a grommet connection and you have the correct grommet for it. The Craft base is made with Russian-style hookahs in mind.

What is the difference between the Cosmo finishes?

Only the colour and look. Each Cosmo is the same heavy decanter-style glass base.
