What to look for in a Starbuzz base

A new base is a simple way to change the look of your hookah or replace a broken vase. Starbuzz bases are glass, made to go with Starbuzz USA stems, and they also suit most traditionally made stems.

The main styles

• Starbuzz Premium Base: painted glass in bold colours, for example Black, White, Blue or Orange, with a frosted, ornamental smoke pattern. It stands 27.9cm tall and 15.2cm wide, with a 48mm opening.
• Starbuzz Tsunami Base: thick-walled, heavy glass with a detailed design, 30cm tall. The extra weight helps keep your shisha steady. Colours include the likes of Blue, Silver and Clear.
• Starbuzz Diamond Cut Base: heavy, thick-walled glass with a diamond-cut design, also 30cm tall, in finishes such as Clear and Grey.

Which one?

If colour matters most, the painted Premium Base gives you the widest choice. If you want weight and steadiness, the thick glass of the Tsunami and Diamond Cut is the better fit. A clear base lets you see the water level at a glance.

Fill the base until the end of the downstem sits a few centimetres under the water, and use a fresh grommet for an airtight seal. Matching shishas are in Shisha - Starbuzz.

Will a Starbuzz base fit my hookah?

Starbuzz bases are made for Starbuzz USA stems and also fit most traditionally made stems. The Premium Base has a 48mm opening, so check that against your stem's grommet.

How should I clean a painted base?

Rinse it with warm water and a soft brush. Avoid scouring pads, which can scratch the paint.
