Getting to know Alite

Alite builds its hookahs around small, practical features that come on every model, and pairs them with a line of mouthpieces. Its lounge pipes come ready to smoke, so the choice is mostly about design and finish.

The lounge hookahs

Models such as the Alite Lounge, Swiss Lounge and Bash Lounge come in finishes like Silver or Black/Gold. In the box you get a stem set, a glass base, a silicone hose, an aluminium mouthpiece, a stoneware clay bowl and an ONMO heat management device in silver. Each also has an integrated molasses catcher, so you only need coals and tobacco to start. Natural coconut coals are the usual choice with an HMD like the ONMO. There is also a set that pairs the Alite Lounge with an XKAH Pro electric head.

Mouthpieces

• Twisted Glass: clear, handmade glass with a coloured twisted ball, 33cm and about 60g. Small air bubbles are normal.
• Carbon: carbon fibre around a V2A stainless steel inner tube that does not hold on to smells. It fits standard hoses and takes hygiene tips.
• Slim: matte black aluminium, 38.5cm and only about 40g.

The gaming mouthpiece

The Alite Gaming Mouthpiece lets you smoke hands-free while gaming on PlayStation or Xbox. Made in Germany, it is 70cm long, weighs 250g and is freely adjustable, so it holds itself in place without you holding the hose. It is universal, so it is not limited to Alite hoses. Questions

Do I need foil with an Alite hookah?

No. The lounge hookahs come with an ONMO heat management device, which sits over the bowl and holds the coals instead of foil.

Will the Gaming Mouthpiece fit my hose?

It is a universal mouthpiece with a 0.7cm inner diameter, made to fit standard hoses.

Which Alite mouthpiece is the lightest?

The Slim, at about 40g. The Twisted Glass is about 60g and the Gaming Mouthpiece 250g.
