Getting to know Aeon bowls

Aeon bowls are phunnel bowls at heart, with a raised centre hole so the juice stays in the bowl rather than running down the stem. The main lines differ in size, clay and where they are meant to be used.

The main families

• VYRO Globe: a compact phunnel bowl developed for the VYRO One, about 7cm across. It is small enough to travel with, fits in the VYRO Travel Bag, and suits smokeboxes and most heat management devices. It comes in many city-named colourways, for example Tokyo, Rio or Dubai.
• Vulcan Phunnel: a larger stoneware clay bowl, handmade and hand-painted in Germany, that takes around 15g of tobacco depending on how you pack it. It works with foil or a heat management device, and finishes such as Bionic or Lava give each one its own look.
• Aeon X Solaris Cephei: a limited edition multi-hole bowl made with the Ukrainian bowl maker Solaris. Its outer glaze glows blue in the dark.

Which one suits you?

Pick the Globe if you smoke a VYRO One or want a bowl that packs away small. Choose the Vulcan for longer sessions on a full-size Aeon. If you prefer a classic bowl with several holes, a multi-hole design like the Cephei is the one to look at.

What to expect from the clay

Clay is a natural material, so the grain, colour and size can vary a little from the photos. Handmade and hand-painted bowls are each slightly different.

Add a heat management device that fits your bowl, and find seals and small parts in Aeon spares.

Questions

Will the VYRO Globe fit my heat management device?

At about 7cm across, it fits smokeboxes and most heat management devices. Check the bottom diameter of your device if you are unsure.

How much tobacco does the Vulcan take?

Around 15g, depending on how you pack it and the brand you use.

Why does my bowl look slightly different from the photo?

Clay is a natural product and many Aeon bowls are handmade, so the grain and colour can vary from bowl to bowl.
