Tangiers Noir and Burley explained

Tangiers is a dark leaf tobacco. The flavours are made in different lines, and choosing the right line matters as much as choosing the flavour.

Noir or Burley?

Noir is the original Tangiers line, with over 50 flavours. Its nicotine content is medium, between Birquq and Burley.
Burley has the highest nicotine content of the Tangiers lines and a smaller choice of flavours. It is not recommended for beginners.

Flavours by mood

Tangiers flavours fall into a few broad families. Some examples to get you started:

Mint: Cane Mint is an intensely cool peppermint, made in Noir and Burley. Mime pairs lime with a soft minty exhale, and Bug Powder tastes of cherry mint drops.
Fruit: for example Blackberry Lime, Ginger Pear, Pinepas (pineapple and passion fruit) or Mango Fling, with passionfruit and a hint of rose.
Spice and tea: such as Kashmir Black (spice with blackberry), Chai (cinnamon, cardamom and clove) or Sunset (Jamaica tea, blueberry and cucumber).
Sweet and dessert: for example Cocoa, Cookie Dough, Peach Cobbler or Muerte Por Arroz, a cinnamon rice pudding.
Double apple: Kosmik, which replaces Midnight Orchard Apple.

Packing and heat

Dark leaf usually wants more heat, and a little longer to warm up, than blonde leaf. Fluff the tobacco, fill the bowl loosely and give it a few minutes before you judge the flavour. A heat management device makes it easier to raise or lower the heat, and you can pick a bowl to match from hookah bowls.

Start with Noir rather than Burley. Noir has a medium nicotine content, while Burley has the highest nicotine content and is not recommended for beginners.
