Small parts that keep your hose working
When a hose starts to leak, kink or draw badly, it is often a small part at fault rather than the hose itself. Find the part that does the job, then check it fits your model.
Seals and springs
- Hose grommets, such as the Shishagear Silicone Hose Grommet: seal the hose into the hose port so no air leaks in. It is made in a big and a small size.
- Sealing rings, for example the Dschinni Sealing Ring For Hose Adapter: a clear silicone ring with a 4mm inner diameter.
- Hose springs, like the El Badia Silicone Hose Spring: 13cm long, it stops the hose pinching where it bends. Fits most hoses.
Connectors by brand
Connectors are often brand-specific. Wookah's hose connectors, for example, are V2A stainless steel and fit the Wookah natural leather hose. The Hoob Magnetic Ring For Hose Connector fits models including the Go, Atom, Navi and Flex. Draw, upgrades and storage
- Draft reducers, such as the Aeon 7.5mm Draft Reducer: slides in to narrow an AEON hose end piece from 11mm, for a tighter, more traditional draw.
- Upgrade sets, for example the Steamulation Ultimate II & III + Upgrade Set, which includes a molasses catcher that keeps the water clean for 2 to 4 sessions.
- Holders: the Dschinni Glass Hose Holder 22mm gives your mouthpiece a resting place on hookahs with an 18.8 cut on the smoke column. The Aeon Wall Holder mounts five mouthpieces and a few hoses on the wall; screws are not included.

Questions
Which grommet size do I need?
It depends on the hose port on your shisha. If the hose end is loose in the port, choose the big size; if a big grommet will not go in, choose the small one.
Why does my hose draw so loosely?
Some modern hose ends have a wide bore. The Aeon 7.5mm Draft Reducer narrows an AEON hose end piece to tighten the draw.
Will a brand's connector fit my hookah?
Usually only the models it is made for. Check the model list on the product, such as the Hoob models for the magnetic ring, before you choose.
