Mamay Customs Micro With Mamay Conical Base - Rick & Morty (Ruben)

The Mamay Customs Micro with Mamay Conical Base - Rick & Morty (Ruben) is a compact Russian hookah from Mamay Customs. Mamay Customs will be familiar to most shisha fans, as the brand is sold worldwide. It is not only a high-flyer in Russia but has also become popular across Europe, thanks to its great concept and high quality. It appeals to everyone who is a fan of tuning and Russian shishas. Behind it is a Russian company with years of experience, and it shows in the product.

Material and design - The hookah is made of stainless steel and plastic parts, and has a hose connection, as usual for Russian hookahs. The base has a very interesting design: as well as the hose connection, it has a purge valve and a second connection that works as a hose holder, which the mouthpiece fits into perfectly. The shisha has a stainless steel core coated with plastic, and a strut, as known from the car tuning scene, is wrapped around the smoke column, which allows some very interesting colour combinations. As usual, the shisha sits in the glass base with a seal.

Charcoal plate and purge valve - The standard coal plate is designed like a car wheel rim, which rounds off the look of the hookah. There are also other designs, for example a highly detailed dandelion or small cartoon-style dinosaurs or cats. The coal plate design is sent at random. Another advantage is that the coal plate simply sits on top and does not need to be screwed to the head adapter, which makes it easier to empty the ash. The purge valve sits on the base, as mentioned, and lets the smoke escape all around.

Diffuser and draw - The diffuser is not built in but simply screws on. With the diffuser fitted, the shisha is very quiet, so it won't disturb you if you are studying or working at the same time. The draw is very pleasant, though on the firmer side, and this partly depends on whether the diffuser is fitted. Most people will probably find it more comfortable to smoke with the diffuser.
